GrowthPoint Partners

My work is for owners who already built something real — and now need help building the people side of it. Most family-owned and owner-led businesses don’t fail because of their product, their market, or their effort. They struggle because the people side of the business was never built — at least not intentionally.

Roles evolve without clarity. Supervisors get promoted without the tools to lead. Turnover becomes “the cost of doing business.” Pay decisions get made under pressure and nobody can explain them. HR lands on whoever has capacity — usually a payroll clerk, an office manager, or the owner themselves at midnight.

Owners shouldn’t have to choose between building something meaningful and being present for their own life. They shouldn’t be the bottleneck on every people decision, the default HR department, and the supervisor of last resort all at once.

GrowthPoint Partners exists to fix that.

Hi, I’m Liz

A smiling woman wearing sunglasses and a hat stands in a mountainous outdoor setting, carrying a large backpack with camping gear. She holds trekking poles and is surrounded by trees and rocky peaks under a clear blue sky.

I came to Idaho from Missouri 15 years ago, fell in love with the mountains on my first trip west, and never left.

Before I started GrowthPoint Partners, I spent fifteen-plus years inside HR — benefits programs for 1,500-plus employees, multi-million-dollar contracts, full HR operations for multi-site manufacturing. I’ve negotiated with unions, cut time-to-hire by 25%, lifted retention by 12% in roles nobody could keep filled, and delivered $2M in cost savings.

All useful experience. None of it the reason owners hire me.

The reason is simpler than that.

I believe that small businesses are the backbone of America.

When a family-owned manufacturer or owner-led ag operation builds strong people systems, it doesn’t just produce a good business outcome — it creates stable careers, supports families, sends kids to college, and strengthens the communities we live in. That’s the work worth doing.

So I built GrowthPoint Partners.

What I value

  • Honest pushback over comfortable agreement
  • Defensible decisions over gut calls
  • Systems that survive your absence
  • Pay you can explain to anyone who asks
  • Onboarding that doesn’t end at the I-9
  • Supervisors who can have a hard conversation without it landing back on your desk
  • Building careers, not filling positions
